Friends of the White Salmon River
Welcome from the Friends of the White
Salmon River.

Herein you’ll find
updates and resource
documents about the key issues facing the
river and its riparian habitat.  In addition to
newspaper articles, editorials and  letters from
the public you’ll find pertinent government
documents and academic articles, as well as
links to the websites of relevent
organizations.

Should you care to voice your concern, there
are announcements of
upcoming meetings and
sample letters to complete and send to
community leaders.   Finally, there are maps of
the
vicinity and watershed and photos taken on
Friends hikes.

The
Mission of the  Friends of the White
Salmon River is to protect the river and
watershed in order to restore and preserve the
river and riparian habitats. This Mission, as
reflected in FWSR's
history, has largely been
achieved through education and advocacy but
also via financial support of critical causes and
promotion of recreation, such as leading hikes.

Hopefully, what you read here will encourage
you to
get more involved in issues like Condit
Dam, the Wild and Scenic River,  watershed
management
(WRIA 29b) and Husum/BZ
Rezoning.
