The Friends of the White Salmon River will protect the White Salmon River and its watershed and will work to restore naturally reproducing anadromous fish populations to the River.
We fulfill this mission by using all means available to protect the scenic, natural, cultural, and recreational resources within the watershed.
We actively seek to forge partnerships with landowners and other stakeholders,
organizations, and individuals.
We will educate ourselves and others about the watershed ecosystem and its role in sustaining human life.
We seek to educate the public about the Wild and Scenic River Act, the Shorelines
Management Act, and the Critical Areas Ordinance. We will encourage responsible
application of these and other rules, regulations, and designations protecting this
watershed.
We encourage sound scientific exploration of salmon restoration and habitat needs, and the needs of all other interconnected species.
