The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area encompasses 292,500 acres, the entire length of the Columbia River Gorge. It spans two states, extreme southern Washington and northern Oregon, and runs from the mouths of Sandy River to the Deschutes River. The Columbia River Gorge is unique in both its natural and cultural history, as well as its designation as a National Scenic Area. White Salmon River downstream of Condit Dam (RM 3.3-mouth) is within the boundaries of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
