Protect Pushpum
Pumped storage is not the problem. The proposed location is. Goldendale Pumped Storage development will destroy an area known to Yakama Nation as “mother of all roots,” a sacred site for Yakama Nation ceremonies, legends, and gathering of traditional roots and medicines.
Restore Wild Salmon & Steelhead
Wild salmon and steelhead are returning to the White Salmon River following the removal of Condit Dam. How many? Are they reproducing? Are they thriving? We don’t know. But it’s critical to find out. The White Salmon is one of the few rivers where hatchery fish were not introduced after a dam was removed—a true rarity.
